International Open Science conference in Mumbai

Our faculty is participating as a partner in the international project OPEN-ASIA, focused on promoting the principles of open science in Asia, with an emphasis on India and Malaysia. The project involves universities from India, Malaysia, Finland, and the Netherlands. Its goal is to support the digital economy and connectivity, with a regulatory approach that enables investments in digital infrastructure and policies to bridge the digital divide. Dr. Nada Trunk Širca and Špela Dermol represented the ISSBS at the first project consortium meeting and international conference on the topic of open science in Mumbai, from March 19th to 22nd, 2024. The project also aims to improve institutional policies and practices to facilitate researchers’ career development. Through innovations and the promotion of local OS-Hubs, the project addresses the challenges of adopting open science, aiming to encourage cultural changes and enhance researchers’ competencies.
