International MakeLearn, TIIM & PIConf conference

From May 23 to May 25, 2024, the international scientific conference MakeLearn, TIIM & PIConf took place in Lublin, Poland. This year’s conference theme was “Artificial Intelligence for Human-Technologies-Economy Sustainable Development.” MFDPŠ was the main organizer of the conference, with co-organizers including our partners each year: Marie Curie Sklodowska University from Poland, Kasetsart University from Thailand, and Pegaso International from Malta.

The conference encourages the exchange of the latest achievements in management, economics, technology, and education. By involving both experienced and young academics and practitioners from around the world, it also promotes discussion and knowledge exchange between academic circles and businesses, offering various opportunities for the publication of scientific findings. This year’s focus was on the application of artificial intelligence to accelerate sustainable development in various areas of human activity, including the economy, urban and state administration, as well as education, research, and higher education in general.

Hosted this year by the partner faculty of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, the conference included presentations, workshops, and roundtable discussions covering a wide range of topics, from technologies and innovations to management and business studies. Among the keynote speakers this year was the renowned expert, Professor Anthony Elliott AM, an Emeritus Professor at the University of South Australia.

In addition to professional presentations, the conference also offered numerous networking opportunities and idea exchanges among participants. The event facilitated in-depth discussions on current challenges and future directions in the field of technologies and innovations. Among the panelists and speakers at the conference were three full professors from MFDPŠ: in the editors’ panel, Prof. Dr. Valerij Dermol (Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal International Journal of Management, Knowledge and Learning) and Prof. Dr. Nada Trunk Širca (Editor-in-Chief of the highly ranked scientific journal Human Systems Management), and at the higher education leadership forum, Prof. Dr. Dušan Lesjak.
