First Virtual Meeting of the Summer School

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, we successfully held the first virtual meeting of the Summer School Digital Frontiers: Tech Innovations in Entrepreneurship. The focus of this initial meeting was a detailed presentation of the summer school’s content, schedule, and the commencement of the first lectures.

During the meeting, we covered:

• Presentation of ISSBS as the organizer of the Summer School
• Presentation of the Summer School concept
• Introduction of professors from Slovenia, Romania, Portugal, and Poland
• Moodle e-classroom
• Organization of group work
• Definition of innovation
• Business Model Canvas

Two more virtual meetings are planned in June, on the 13th and 20th, followed by another meeting just before the physical part of the program on August 23, 2024.

The physical part of the Summer School will take place in September, from September 2 to 6, 2024, in Slovenia.

Students from various institutions are included in this year’s Summer School:

• International School for Social and Business Studies, Slovenia (Coordinator and Host Institution)
• School of Management and Technology, Portugal (Partner Institution)
• The Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania
• Marie Curie Sklodowska University, Poland (Partner Institution)
• Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), Poland (Partner Institution)

The content of the Summer School includes workshops focused on digital innovation, culminating in a business model for a Slovenian company.

The participation of various international institutions provides students with valuable experiences and insights into the field of digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
