Digital Frontiers: Tech Innovations in Entrepreneurship

The BIP will be held from 2 to 6 September 2024
at International School for Social and Business Studies, Celje, Slovenia.
An obligatory virtual events will take place via ZOOM: 4 pre-meetings/classes, presumably two in June and two in August 2024.

The BIP will be implemented in partnership with these institutions:

  • International School for Social and Business Studies, Celje, Slovenia
  • The Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania
  • School of Management and Technology of Felgueiras, Portugal
  • Maria Curie Sklodowska University, Poland
  • Digital company, Slovenia

The BIP focuses on nurturing innovative business ideas in the field of “Digital Frontiers: Tech Innovations in Entrepreneurship.” This program is designed to dive into the practical use of digital technologies, enabling students to lead ventures that are innovative, scalable, and essential to the digital entrepreneurship landscape.

The goal of the BIP : By emphasizing digital innovation, the BIP aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to excel in the digital age. It will cover new technologies and their role in developing competitive business models, preparing participants to be leaders in the digital economy and beyond.

Venue: at the International School for Social and Business Studies Celje, Slovenia.

Date:
Physical part: 2 to 6 September 2024.
Virtual part: 4 virtual meetings/classes via ZOOM prior to the physical part, two in June and two in August.

ECTS credits: Earn 6 ECTS while having fun in international environment.

BIP participant: BIP combines short-term physical mobility with a virtual component. The BIP is open to students from all three academic cycles, welcoming undergraduates, master’s, and doctoral candidates to participate.
Students who participate in BIP can maintain their study plans at their home institution and include BIP as a parallel activity.

The sending institution’s International Relations offices will provide information and support to students for physical mobility.

BIP grant and application: Students will receive support for physical mobility from their sending institutions: 70 Eur per day.
Students with fewer opportunities may receive travel support.
Students who do not receive travel support can opt for green travel. In this case, they will receive a single contribution of 50 EUR as a top-up amount to the individual support and up to 4 days of additional individual support to cover travel days for a return trip, if relevant.
Students can apply until 30 May 2024.
Application extension will be possible, if there will be places available.

The maximum number of participants of BIP is limited to 30.
All applicants will receive the information on admission to the BIP before 2  June 2024.

Accommodation: Accommodation and travel costs for the physical event in Celje, Slovenia are covered by participants with their BIP grant.
The International School for Social and Business Studies recommends low cost accommodation at “MCC Hostel (Mariborska cesta 2, Celje). Also a possibility of low-cost breakfast and dinner at MCC Hostel.

Participants can enjoy low-cost meals at the restaurant in the ISSBS building Cafeteria Stolpič.

Coffee and snacks will be provided by the host institution while for meals a couple of partner restaurants will be indicated for a cheap and quick lunch.

Additional activities: Additional activities will be organized for example: welcome party, trips around Celje and Slovenia.
The organizers may, however, charge fees for extra-curricular activities, such as cultural visits, and trips not directly related  to the topic of the program.
