REUSE: Improving SMEs’ Competences in Implementing a Cascade-Use Model for Waste Materials through a Cross-Border Mentoring Programme

Project purpose
REUSE strengthens the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises to introduce cascade-use models for waste materials. Through cross-border cooperation between Slovenia and Austria, it helps companies identify business opportunities, reduce waste and use secondary raw materials more efficiently.
Objectives and key activities
The partners develop a cross-border mentoring model, train mentors, and prepare company-readiness assessment tools and a collection of good practices. A dedicated academy delivers workshops, involves students, and provides one-to-one support to at least 50 companies in developing material-reuse solutions and connecting to new value chains.
Role of ISSBS
ISSBS participates as an education and research partner. It contributes to assessment and training content, involves students, supports workshops and individual company mentoring, and contributes to the evaluation, dissemination and sustainability of project results.
