Dr. Gorenak’s primary research focus is on human resource management, with a particular interest in values, competencies, and the behavior of different generations in the workplace. He is particularly fascinated by the connection between personal values and generational affiliation. In addition, he has a strong interest in tourism leadership, an area where he began his career in tourism. He sees tour guides as often overlooked heroes in the tourism industry.
His research has been published in numerous scientific journals, including E+M: Ekonomie a Management, Organizacija, Tourism, Culture & Communication, Tourismos, Teorija in Praksa, Human Systems Management, Academica Turistica: Tourism & Innovation Journal, Bogoslovni Vestnik, and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.
