Assist. Prof. Dr.Mateja Gorenc

Assistant Professor Dr. Mateja Gorenc graduated with a degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, in 2004. In 2017, she earned a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the School of Accounting and Finance, and in 2016, she completed her Ph.D. in Business Studies at the Faculty of Commercial and Business Sciences. Since 2017, she has been a Certified Fraud Examiner in the field of finance and accounting. Dr. Gorenc has gained over 20 years of professional experience in the business sector. She currently serves as an assistant professor at B2 Higher School of Business, the International School for Social and Business Studies in Celje, and the School of Accounting and Finance. Her research focuses primarily on forensic accounting, and she has published multiple articles in Management Accounting and contributed to conferences organized by the Institute for Forensic Investigations in Finance and Accounting (Business Forensics Conference).
