Dean's Office
Dr. Kristijan Breznik is a full professor of mathematics and an associate professor of research methodology, currently serving as the Dean of ISSBS. He holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Maribor, and a master’s degree in mathematics and a PhD in statistics from the University of Ljubljana. He teaches or co-teaches courses across all three study levels. His research interests include network analysis, structural modeling, data analysis, and data visualization. He collaborates with numerous international institutions, such as Federico II in Naples, Italy; the University of Oulu in Finland; and the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, among others. He has led or participated in over ten research projects and has authored or co-authored more than thirty original scientific articles in indexed journals (WoS and/or Scopus). He also serves on the editorial boards of several indexed scientific journals and supervises undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students both within the institution and beyond.
