In the 2025/2026 academic year, Kirill Korolenko, a student of the undergraduate study programme Economy in Contemporary Society, completed an Erasmus+ study mobility at SGGW in Warsaw, Poland.
The mobility took place at the Faculty of Economics of Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego, also known as the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. The university is distinguished by its extensive campus and diverse international student community.
During his exchange, Kirill participated in the academic activities of the host institution and completed courses in entrepreneurship, economics, market analysis, human resource management, organisational behaviour and business decision-making. In accordance with the Learning Agreement, the successfully completed academic requirements were recognised as part of his studies at ISSBS.
In addition to acquiring professional knowledge, the mobility enabled him to develop competencies that are valuable for both his studies and future career. These included communication in English, teamwork in an international environment, adapting to a new setting, solving challenges independently and collaborating with people from different cultural backgrounds.
SGGW provided international students with support in integrating into the academic environment, arranging accommodation and addressing other organisational matters. During his mobility, Kirill stayed in a student residence located close to the campus, which enabled him to become more actively involved in the university’s academic and social life.
Erasmus+ mobility offers students an opportunity to complete part of their studies abroad, experience different approaches to education and acquire valuable international experience and competencies. These experiences make an important contribution to their personal, academic and professional development.
“Above all, do not be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. The more open you are, the more you will gain from the mobility experience,” Kirill emphasised at the end of his Erasmus+ exchange.
