10th international scientific conference MakeLearn & TIIM 2020

Between 21 and 22 May 2020, the International School for Social and Business Studies, in cooperation with partner universities, organised the 10th international scientific conference MakeLearn & TIIM 2020: »Expanding Horizons: Business, Management and Technology for Better Society“. Due to the Covid-19 virus epidemic, the event was carried out virtually for the very first time. The conference was attended by more than 280 contributing authors and students from 25 countries, who presented 123 conference papers. This year’s focus was on topics such as diversity, creativity and technology that support the flow of goods, services and factors of production between countries and nations.

The main speakers of the conference were Dr. Gary DeLorenzo from the California University of Pennsylvania in the USA, Dr. Kongkiti Phusavat from Kasetsart University in Thailand and Dr. Mohamed Buheji with Dr. Dunya Ahmed, Founders of the International Inspiration Economy Project, from Bahrain. The program included a forum from editors of international scientific journals (Editors’ panel) with six editors and guests, and a research-education-business forum with eleven speakers of the business and higher education sector and academy.

The MakeLearn & TIIM Conference promotes the exchange of the most recent accomplishments in the fields of management, economy, technology and education. By including experiences and young academics and practitioners from all continents, the conference promotes discussing and exchanging knowledge in academic circles and companies (formal meetings and social events) and offers various opportunities for publishing. This years’ emphasis was on themes such as interdisciplinary or innovative solutions in the fieldsof business, management, education, and technology.
