The International School for Social and Business Studies took part in events organised as part of the international Erasmus+ project Open Asia, held in Sarawak, Malaysia, from 19 to 22 October 2026.
The project brings together higher education institutions from India and Malaysia, alongside partners from Slovenia, Finland and the Netherlands. Its aim is to contribute to the development of open science and promote its adoption in higher education and research in Malaysia and India.
The first two days were dedicated to a consortium meeting, during which project partners discussed the project’s progress, reviewed achievements to date and planned upcoming activities.
The main event was a two-day international conference attended by approximately 200 participants. The presence of senior government and industry representatives highlighted the importance of collaboration between the research community, industry and policymakers in advancing open science.
ISSBS’s participation contributes to strengthening international partnerships and promoting open science within the international research community.
