Gorazd Justinek is an Associate Professor specializing in International Business and International Political, Economic, and Business Relations. He is a former diplomat and a founding member of the Department for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For many years, he served as the Head of the Internationalization Sector at the Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments. During Slovenia’s presidency of the European Union, he worked as an advisor to the Prime Minister, focusing on domestic macroeconomic issues and international economic relations. After Slovenia joined the OECD, he coordinated the work of Slovenia’s representatives in the OECD working bodies and contributed to the preparation of the national budget, macroeconomic analyses, and public administration reforms.
Dr. Justinek also served two terms as the Director of the NGO Center for European Future, primarily focusing on international development assistance in the Western Balkans and leading several Horizon 2020 projects. He is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Diplomacy and Economy (London) and a member of the editorial boards of numerous other international scientific journals (Scopus and WoS).
