Dr. Eva Klemenčič Mirazchiyski completed a double-subject university degree in 2003 at the Faculty of Arts (Sociology – Pedagogy) and the Faculty of Social Sciences (Political Science – Policy Analysis and Public Administration) at the University of Ljubljana. She was awarded the titles of Professor of Sociology and University Degree in Political Science by both faculties. In 2011, she earned her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Humanities (ISH) with her dissertation on “International Knowledge Research, Curricular Policies, and Global/Local Knowledge,” granting her the title of Doctor of Science in Linguistics of Speech and Theory of Social Communication.

Since 2005, she has been employed at the Educational Research Institute, starting as a young researcher and now working as a scientific advisor. Since 2013, she has led the Center for Applied Epistemology at the Institute and served as the national research coordinator for international comparative studies, including ICCS, ICILS, PIRLS, and REDS. She also leads several national projects and research initiatives. Dr. Klemenčič Mirazchiyski is an external expert for the European Commission, a representative of Slovenia in the IEA General Assembly, and an associate professor of sociology at MFDPŠ and AMEU ISH, as well as sociology of education at AMEU ISH. She serves on editorial boards of national and international journals and publishing houses in the field of education. She was part of an EU-level expert group that outlined educational guidelines for 2030. In 2019, she received recognition from the Slovenian Research Agency for an outstanding scientific achievement in social sciences for a paper she co-authored.

Dr. Klemenčič Mirazchiyski has been involved in the academic process at MFDPŠ since 2014, mentoring numerous student theses. She also participates in thesis defense committees at both national and international institutions and is frequently interviewed by the media in Slovenia.
