Between 4 and 11 March 2020, ISSBS has hosted dr. Frederick Kohun as a part of the “Foreign Visiting Teachers at the ISSBS” tender. Dr. Kohun is employed at the Robert Morris University as a professor of computer and information systems and has more than 35 years of experience as an academic at the university, and at the same time is the founding director of the doctoral study program Information Systems and Communications. During the same period, Dr. Gary DeLorenzo, professor of computer and information systems at the University of California, Pennsylvania, also visited the ISSBS.
Visiting expert Dr. Kohun gave a lecture to students considering different topics, for example online marketing, knowledge management strategies and quantitative and qualitative methods. Dr. Kohun also gave an interesting lecture on the subject of Learning Skills entitled The Impact of Technology and Economics – The Case of the City of Pittsburg. The students confirmed that the lectures were very useful and interesting, with many good examples from practice.
During the visit, both professors also met with the management of the faculty, with whom they discussed the exchange of knowledge in the field of higher education management and the exchange of ideas on possible future cooperation.
Visits of internationally renowned lecturers from various fields take place within the Public Call for Short and Long Visits of Foreign Experts and Higher Education Teachers to Slovenian Higher Education Institutions in 2019-2022, co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.
