After considering and submitting proposals, as well as current events in this currently unpredictable time of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ISSBS Student Council wishes to present new opportunities for development and employment to students. The student conference will also address social entrepreneurship, intergenerational cooperation and volunteering.

There are many new jobs available in the modern employment market in which future job seekers should have not only formal but also informal competencies, so we want to present several possible new ways to employment at the KoME student conference.

In today’s social conditions, we must work together and connect generations, build good human relations and maintain solidarity, and focus primarily on intergenerational cooperation. The knowledge and abilities of the elderly are an important part of human and social capital, so it is very important for social development that the achievements of previous generations are passed on to younger generations. However, this alone is not enough, as social responsibility, the development of a stable economic environment and the development of general well-being in society are once again becoming values that are coming to the spotlight. Ethical and moral action in the interest of the people and not the pursuit of profit are the foundations of social entrepreneurship.

At the ISSBS, as part of various activities and subjects (projects, Volunteering), we encourage socially responsible behavior of students. For this reason, we at SC ISSBS also want to encourage students to participate and discuss at the event, who are invited to submit contributions in as large a number as possible.

The student conference will be attended by interesting domestic and foreign guests with their presentations:

– dr. Barbara Lužar, Head of the Fruits House of the Žalec Company (Intergenerational Community Center of Slovenian Philanthropy), Slovenia
mag. Katja Kolenc, Head of Programs, International Coordination and Projects, Youth Center Celje, Slovenia
– Assoc. prof. dr. Valerij Dermol, ISSBS, the concept of social responsibility and the experience of the faculty with the subject of volunteering, the experience of the guest (s)

– Sibel Bajram, winner of the award for youth civic commitment in the field of advocacy for the empowerment of Roma girls and women, Macedonia
