The first meeting of doctoral students in academic year 2020/2021

The implementation of the doctoral study program in this academic year 2020/2021 at the ISSBS will begin on Monday, 23 November, 2020, when 15 students from different countries of the world will be addressed by the dean of the ISSBS doc. dr. Srečko Natek. At the introductory meeting, the vice-dean of the ISSBS, assoc. prof. dr. Kristijan Breznik and the head of the program prof. dr. Dušan Lesjak will also  address the students.

Students from abroad are included in the doctoral study from the very beginning of the study, as the entire implementation is conducted in English. The implementation of the study program in English represents a contribution to the greater internationalization of education at home, which contributes to improving the quality of the international dimension of Slovenian higher education.

The novelty of this year’s implementation is that the doctoral program includes eminent foreign professors – one of the greatest experts in the field of knowledge management from the USA, dr. Jay Liebowitz and dr. Moti Zwilling  who is a recognized expert worldwide. Dr. Jay Liebowitz has published the first handbook on knowledge management and among 11,000 lecturers in the field of knowledge management in the world, he is ranked in a prestigious second place, and he also helped to develop a master’s and doctoral study program in Knowledge Management at ISSBS.

Dr. Moti Zwilling has two PhDs – in computer science / bioinformatics and in marketing. His lectures are focused on data science and cyber security.
