Yesterday, July 14, 2020, the ISSBS obtained a new Doctor of Science in the doctoral study program Knowledge Management. The new Doctor of Science became Mr. Andrej Novak, who defended his doctoral dissertation entitled »Model vpliva stila vodenja in managementa znanja na uspešnost podjetij«. The doctoral dissertation was written under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kristijan Breznik and co-mentorship of Asst. Prof. Srečko Natek.
After the doctoral dissertation defence, Mr. Novak stated: »The doctoral study Knowledge Management at ISSBS has enabled me to learn about theoretical concepts in research disposal in the framework of the doctoral dissertations. It has also enabled me to fundamentally predicted theoretical findings with existing practical experience. The latter was especially welcome, as our research work brings a broader view of the challenges in the day-to-day operation of companies. Knowledge management, as a relatively new concept in Slovenia, offers many opportunities for further research, and business leaders the opportunity to use its potential and consequently increase their performance.”
ISSBS is currently conducting the doctoral study in the English language and has 11 students enrolled from Slovenia and abroad. The implementation of the study programme in the English language means a contribution to the greater internationalization of education at home, which contributes to improving the quality of the international dimension of the Slovenian higher education.
