MakeLearn & TIIM International Conference 2019

Together with foreign partner faculties, The International School for Social and Business Studies successfully carried out the 9. international conference MakeLearn & TIIM 2019 in Piran, Slovenia, from May 15th to 17th. The title of the conference was Thriving on Future Education, Industry, Business and Society. More than 220 participants from 30 countries attended the event and prepared 218 conference contributions.

The main speakers of the conference were Dr. Frederick Kohun from the Robert Morris University in the USA and Dr. Jan Chadam from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Poland. The programme included a forum about managing in higher education (Academic Leadership forum) with seven eminent academics, a forum from editors of international scientific journals (Editors’ panel) with nine editors and guests, and a research-education-business forum with twelve speakers of the business and higher education sector and academy. The post-conferential programme included a workshop about academic writing for young researchers.

The MakeLearn & TIIM Conference promotes the exchange of the most recent accomplishments in the fields of management, economy, technology and education. By including experiences and young academics and practitioners from all continents, the conference promotes discussing and exchanging knowledge in academic circles and companies (formal meetings and social events) and offers various opportunities for publishing. This years’ emphasis was on themes such as diversity, creativity and technology, which support the movement of goods, services and factors of production between countries and nations.
