The project is co-financed by the European Union, Erasmus+ Programme, Strategic Partnerships in the field of higher education. The project is planned to be implemented in the period 1. 10. 2024 &#8211; 30. 09.2026.<\/p>\n<h4>Project Aims<\/h4>\n<p>The main objective of the project is to develop materials and find solutions that will actually contribute to increasing social and ecological awareness and responsibility of students and academic staff.<\/p>\n<h4>Specific objectives<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrating ecological skills and the concept of sustainable development into existing study programs in many disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Equipping lecturers with knowledge and tools to effectively shape ecological skills among students.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting cooperation between universities, industrial partners and environmental organizations to increase the importance of ecological skills.<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging research initiatives focused on ecological skills, sustainable development and environmental innovations.<\/li>\n<li>Raising students&#8217; awareness of environmental problems and the importance of ecological skills.<\/li>\n<li>Introducing ecological skills and sustainable development issues into institutional policies and management structures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Main project activities:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparation of a publication dedicated to teaching staff of higher education institutions. This will be a document containing clear guidelines for teaching staff, emphasizing the importance of including green skills in study programs in social sciences and humanities, as well as practical instructions on the ways and methods of including teaching these green skills in existing study programs.<\/li>\n<li>Testing, at each of the partner universities, methods of including green competences in the curriculum. Each university will select 3 subjects in the field of humanities and social sciences, and then enrich them with previously defined green competences. Then, these subjects will be implemented in the new formula for at least 1 semester.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of a brochure for students. A comprehensive and visually attractive brochure will be addressed to all students, with the main emphasis on students of humanities and social sciences. The brochure will serve as a guide emphasizing the importance of green skills in non-technical professions and practical observations on how having green skills can contribute to increasing their chances on the job market. The booklet will feature well-researched and informative content covering key green skills, their application across a range of non-technical careers and the positive impact they can have on both personal careers and the wider environment. The booklet will be available in 5 partner languages and English. The document will feature engaging and visually appealing elements \u2013 such as graphics, charts, photos \u2013 that will effectively convey key information to the target audience in an engaging and informative way.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of a brochure for university staff and authorities. The brochure will provide clear and practical guidelines for university authorities and staff on how to organise and run university operations in an environmentally friendly manner. These guidelines will serve as practical tools to enable university stakeholders to adopt more sustainable practices. The brochure elements will cover various aspects of university operations such as energy efficiency, waste management, sustainable practices and other environmentally conscious strategies. The brochure will be available in 5 partner languages and English.
